Meet The Mayor

Romanian mayors hold significant executive, administrative, and political power within their jurisdictions.

Mayors are elected to office and operate autonomously from central government interference in managing local public affairs.

For the past 12 years, Cluj International Committee has hosted its flagship event, Meet the Mayor. This unique event in Romania brings together the Mayor of Cluj-Napoca, Mr Emil Boc, who presents City Hall’s plans for the coming year and then hosts a question-and-answer session with attendees.
